Who is Betty Alvarez?

Betty Alvarez is a seasoned and inventive art director, designer and artist. Her healthcare career began in 2002, with 7 years at a top global agency where she worked in both New York and London. In 2009 she left agency life to work with her own wellness clients as well as pursue other creative passions. In 2021, she re-entered the pharma industry, and has loved integrating all her talents in the collaborative flow of agency life. 

Overall her skills range from big picture idea making down to the craft of design and illustration. She loves to embrace the future including AI, new interactive technology and integrating new creative trends. Betty has a number of inspirations for her art direction, including modern art, travel, the uniqueness of humans, and holistic wellness itself.

Over 20+ years, she has led businesses of all sizes with their branding, logos, web presence and even content writing. She has wrangled large monthly magazines and crafted custom print booklets. And she has been part of incredible teams building brands for healthcare clients. All this has made her the creative leader she is today.

In her personal life, she lives in Seattle, Washington, travels abroad as often as possible, takes art classes and hikes the beautiful PNW mountains. Creativity is her strong suit, and outside of work, she expands her skills as an artist, craft artist and writer. Her subject matter often includes exploring concepts of our connection to nature. 

She graduated from Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in 2002 with a BS in Graphic Design.
